Proxycap Setup Guide (WindowXP, Vista)

Proxycap Setup Guide

Download from http://www.proxycap.com/

1)* Launch Proxycap. It will open in your task bar tray area.
* Right click on the icon and select “Preferences”…
* Click on the “add new proxy” button

2)* select “Type” as “HTTPS”
* set “Server” to “gametune.homeip.net
* set “Port” to “3128
* click “Ok”

3)* Click “Rules
* Click “Add new rule

4)* select “Rule Type” as “Tunnel through proxy
* select “Proxy Server” as “gametune.homeip.net:3128
* select “Specify” in the “Application” frame
* click the “Browse…” button and find your wow.exe, this will be where your WoW is installed.
* click “OK”

That’s it! Next time you want to play wow just launch Proxycap and then start WOW.

Important Notes
In Windows Vista If Proxycap loads WoW with no ping change.

You will need to go to your Proxycap install directory (e.g. C:\Program Files\ProxyLabs\ProxyCap.) Right Click on your ProxyCap.exe. Then click PROPERTIES then under the COMPATIBILITY tab at the bottom, TICK “Run this Program as an Administrator” then click APPLY.

If you cannot tick the box (greyed Out) your User Access Control may be turned off (UAC can be turned On in Your user accounts area.)

After that reopen Proxycap as normal and reconnect.

Freecap Setup Guide (WindowXP, Vista 32bit)

Freecap Setup Guide:

Download from http://www.freecap.ru/eng/
1)Launch Freecap and open File/Settings.

2)Click Add…

3) *  set “Default Proxy Server” as gametune.homeip.net
* set “Port” as 3128
* select “HTTP “
* TICK “authentication required”
* Key in your username and password
* click “Ok”

4) * select “Program”
* set “DNS name resolving” to “Local”
* click “Apply” and “OK”

5) * Click File/New Application…

6) * set “Profile name” to WOW
* Click the “Browse…” button and find your wow.exe, this will be where your WoW is installed.
* all the fields will be filled automatically
* click “OK”

7) That’s it! Launch Freecap and double click the game icon IN your Freecap window.

Important Notes
